Unlock True Happiness: The Hidden Secret in Allah’s Divine Plan Most People Ignore

Allah Created You Perfectly According to His Will. Value Yourself, Be Grateful for Your Life.

Often, the human heart feels restless when seeing others who appear more successful, more established, or happier. Without realizing it, we begin to compare ourselves, as if life were unfair. A sense of being left behind slowly emerges, eroding our inner peace. Yet, in Islam, every human being is created with a unique path and a destiny set with perfect wisdom. Comparing ourselves to others only breeds envy, which distances the heart from gratitude.

Islam teaches us not to be deceived by outward appearances. What seems beautiful in someone else’s life is not necessarily free from trials. Some are tested with abundance, others with hardship. Some appear happy, yet carry burdens unseen by anyone else. Every person bears their own tests, all of which are part of Allah’s perfect plan. Therefore, stopping the habit of comparison is the first step toward finding true peace.

When the heart is filled with gratitude, our perspective on life begins to change. We no longer focus on what we lack, but appreciate what Allah has bestowed upon us. In psychology, gratitude has been shown to increase happiness and emotional well-being. Islam has long taught this principle—that happiness does not lie in the abundance of wealth, but in a contented heart.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Wealth is not in having many possessions, but true wealth is the richness of the soul.” (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim). This hadith emphasizes that true happiness comes from a heart that is content and accepting of Allah’s decree with sincerity. Such a heart is not easily shaken by comparison, does not envy others, and does not feel constantly lacking.

Allah ﷻ also reminds us of the perfection of human creation in His words: “Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; in whatever form He willed, He assembled you.” (Qur’an, Al-Infitar: 7–8). This verse carries a profound message: every human being is created in the most suitable form according to Allah’s will. Nothing is random, nothing is deficient, and nothing is mistaken in His creation. Differences in appearance, abilities, and life journeys are all part of the beauty of divine decree.

This awareness teaches us to value ourselves. We do not need to become someone else to feel worthy. Each person has unique strengths, potential, and purpose. When someone accepts themselves with gratitude, they live with greater peace and confidence, free from the need to compare.

In modern life, the rapid flow of information—especially through social media—often intensifies the habit of comparison. We see only fragments of others’ happiness without knowing their full stories. Without strong faith, this can lead to dissatisfaction and a constant feeling of insufficiency. This is why it is crucial to guard the heart and remain focused on the blessings Allah has given us.

Allah ﷻ says: “And do not wish for that by which Allah has made some of you exceed others…” (Qur’an, An-Nisa: 32). This verse teaches that every distribution of provision carries wisdom. What Allah gives to others is not for comparison, but for reflection. Meanwhile, what He gives us is a trust to be appreciated and used wisely.

True happiness is born from a heart that is content (ridha). Contentment does not mean giving up effort, but accepting outcomes with an open heart after striving. When a person aligns effort with acceptance, they discover a peace that does not depend on external circumstances.

In the end, life is not a race to be the fastest, the richest, or the most outwardly happy. Life is a personal journey designed by Allah ﷻ with love and wisdom. Every trial carries lessons, every blessing carries responsibility, and every decree contains wisdom that draws us closer to Him.

So, stop comparing and start being grateful. Value yourself as a perfect creation of Allah. Strengthen your relationship with Him, deepen your faith, and live with sincerity. For true happiness is not what is seen in this world, but when the heart feels content, the soul is at peace, and Allah ﷻ is pleased with every step we take.
